It's like two keys to enter: first you enter your login and password, and then a temporary code that is updated every 30-60 seconds. For example, in online banks, after the password, you receive an SMS or a code in an application (like Google Authenticator). This "one-time key" is generated directly on your smartphone using the TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password) algorithm, which eliminates its reuse. Even if an intruder finds out your password, without the second code - as without a physical pass - he will not be able to get into the system. Security in two steps: simple, but reliable.

Step 1: Install the TOTP app
You will need an app that generates one-time codes. It is not related to SilentSend and is suitable for other services.

• Android: Authy, Google Authenticator, FreeOTP
• iOS: Authy, Google Authenticator, FreeOTP

You can use any TOTP apps based on the open TOTP standard.

Step 2: Set up in SilentSend
1. Log in to your SilentSend account as usual.
2. On the control panel, click "Settings" → "Account" → "Security".
3. In the "Two-factor authentication" section, select "Set up".
4. Open the TOTP app on your device and scan the QR code. The app will display "SilentSend" with a 6-digit code that updates every 30 seconds.

Important!
- Generate backup codes and keep them in a safe place. You will need them if you lose access to the TOTP app.
- *Note:* Creating new backup codes will automatically cancel the old ones.

Step 3: Login with 2FA
Now, every time you log in to SilentSend, you will need to enter the 6-digit code from the app after your password.

• One device - one link: A SilentSend account can only be linked to one TOTP app at a time.

Done! Your account is protected by a double barrier: even if your password is stolen, without the code from the app, the attacker will not be able to log in.
